The Picture of Dorian Gray trailer
The trailer for the forthcoming Dorian Gray horror movie has been released and it looks good – ugly but good.
The film is based off the Oscar Wilde classic and features the artist Dorian Gray. Gray is painted by Basil Hallward, who becomes infatuated with him. Gray, in turn, meets Lord Henry who introduces him to a life of such perfect hedonism that he sells his soul to maintain it along with his beauty. It’s Basil’s portrait that begins to show the effects of the curse and as Dorian Gray commits of acts of sin the portrait of him decays and disfigures.
When the story appear (via the Lippincott Monthly Magazine) in 1890 it caused outrage due to its inclusion of homosexuality and Faustian themes.
First of all I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Cheers!
